Amazon’s digital assistant Alexa for the Amazon Echo has now been integrated with the company’s online store. The owners of the smart home devices can now place their orders by voice commands.

Alexa can now perform basic order purchases on Amazon. This means millions of products available on the online store can be purchased through voice-based commands sitting right at home. Amazon Echo smart home device can also be used for reorders of existing products.

The tech giant says that millions of products available on its online repository are now at the disposal of Alexa’s artificial intelligence. Although not all of the items can currently be ordered via the digital assistance

, but the company is developing its smart digital assistant to perform more versatile shopping feats.

The way it works, Alexa will nominate a Prime eligible product and inform you about its price. Then the user will say “Yes” and the order will instantly be placed. Furthermore, items bought through Alexa also qualify for free returns.

The new Alex-integrated Amazon is already in work and thousands of Amazon Echo owners are already having fun with it. The future of grocery shopping and fashion-spree sounds driveless. Remote shopping was fun when it was remote, now it is robotic.
