The First Ever 5g Smartphone With 1 Gbps Download Speed Announced by ZTE

With the fifth generation of mobile network on the way, it is expected that the way we transmit data wirelessly is about to be notably changed. This 5G technology is expected to arrive in the next couple of years, and the biggest of the Smartphone manufacturers that include Alcatel, Samsung and Nokia are already working hard to make it happen.

While all of these manufacturers are still working on developing the 5G smartphones, the Chinese company ZTE has recently unveiled the “Gigabit Phone”, the first smartphone in the world that is 5G enabled, and capable of downloading data at the speed up to 1 Gbps. They demonstrated the abilities of this smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The ZTE representatives stated that this new device will forever change the way people stay in contact and that developing of the 5G tech is going to be one of the key priorities of the company’s global development. They also said that ZTE will be glad to cooperate with the government and business partners on developing this technology even further and prepare it for the upcoming 5G era.

The Gigabit Phone is going to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with an integrated Snapdragon X16 LTE modem. It will offer new features such as 360-degree panoramic Virtual Reality videos, and fast download of ultra Hi-Fi music and video content. It will also have an instant APP that will prevent the download or installation of unnecessary apps, instant cloud store capacity, and even more entertainment upgrades can be expected.

This smartphone will include a 4×4 MIMO antenna technology and will also be able to achieve LTE download speeds thanks to 256-QM modulation. The speeds like those are not even available on routers for home use, and achieving all of this is possible because of ZTE’s technology strength in 5G and Pre5G Giga+ MBE solutions. This will make Gigabit Phone about three times as powerful when it comes to improving data processing capability.

It is expected that Japan will implement this new technology as early as September 2017, while the South Korean KT Corp is planning to offer trial 5G service at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
